Monthly Snapshot

TRANSITIONS
I am so excited about my new role! It has already been a whirlwind. Even though I am still in need of a significant amount of monthly support, I have been blessed to begin my journey as an International Staff Coordinator. My own transition started as the school year came to an end. In May, I got to hear what the Lord has done this past year and what we will be trusting Him for in the coming year during a series of evaluation and planning discussions.

What is most exciting right now is entering into the journeys of students, staff, and STINTers (Short Term INTernational interns) as THEY transition. A team of students and staff have been serving in Central Asia for the past six weeks. Next week, I will welcome them home at the airport and walk them through a three-day debrief. Together we will celebrate what the Lord has done in and through them, discuss the challenges of re-entry stress, and prepare for life and ministry after Summer Mission.

This summer I will also be coaching five STINTers as they transition back to the US after a year or two overseas. These STINTers, still strangers at this moment, will invite me into the joys and the challenges of finishing up their STINT year and preparing for New Staff Orientation in September. They are from all over the country and served all over the globe. Together we will celebrate all the Lord has done in and through them, discuss the challenges of re-entry stress, and prepare for life and ministry after STINT.

PRAISE AND PRAYER
The silence is deafening as we wait to hear about Adam's US visa, and the emotional and financial strain is taxing. BUT the Lord is good. He has been sustaining us and giving us moments of lightness and laughter. Please pray for us as our planned wedding date will come and go next month and we are still on separate continents.

Pray for the STINTers who are or will soon be wrapping up their service overseas and returning home to the US. Pray that I would have wisdom as I step into the lives of the five STINTers I will be coaching and caring for this summer.
